Madonna and Child
Madonna and Child is a stone figure depicting an idealized, virtuous and beautiful woman holding her infant child. It was carved by hand from a stone found by the sculptor when walking with family though the Great Rift Valley in the Dana Nature Reserve, Jordan. The figure is displayed on a stainless steel rod held by a base turned from an off-cut of Silver Maple from the Giraffe Tree at Bloomington, Indiana.
